How often change frets for an RG?

Hi,

How often do you change frets for your RG? (I changed frets for my stratocaster and it was very pricey.)
I am now looking for a used 80/90s RG550, but might buy a new one just to make sure I get 100% new frets.

Thank you!

I have never changed the frets on any of my guitars - including ones from the 80's that I have purchased new. I supposed it depends on a number of factors, so YMMV. Good luck on your search!

IMO, it's all based on use. I've never had to change frets on any of my guitars either but if you're going to or if you must, I'd look into getting SS frets.
