How often do you change the white rings on the tremolo arm?

Those two white rings on my UV's trem arm wear off very fast, which leaves me with an arm that doesnt really stay where I want it to!
So how often do you guys change em, and one more question...is there some dealer somewhere from whom I can get those rings two or so?? cause over here in Paris they are quite difficult to find!

I think any Ibanez authorized dealer can order you these.
Does Rich carry these? I've changed mine only once on my DSY, and the others I've left as is....

An alternative to changing the little white rings can be found here:

I've done it and it works okay.

God, I hate to say this, but here, goes......
(lol)

I like it to be a little stiff, just as long as I can easily flick it away when I want to..... I hate a spinny/sloppy trem bar, nothing wrong with it, just a personal preference...........

I have my phases I go through with extreme whammy abuse, but as I believe was previously mentioned, the nail polish trick works great.

When I am playing live I will go through a set of these rings about once a month. After you put them on and you do some trills/flutters, the bar will start to loosen up and swing around (making it hard to do controlled flutters since the bar is not staying in one place) so depending on if that bothers you or not you could go through those little guys quite a bit!!

I replace my rings when I feel that the whammy bar is too loose to remain usable. I like looseness, but like a bit of stifness as well. Halfway type thing...
