How to protect backplate from oxidation?

Any ideas?
I want to keep it from corroding. Mine has minimal, but i wanna start gigging out with it.

Are you talking about the neck plate? I guess you could purchase a replacement and store your original away for the time being. This way, the wear and tear wouldn't matter. Kind of like those who have signatures on their back covers. Just get a replacement and keep the original one nice and shiny.

Try stonechip stickers.

These are thick seethru stickers to protect cars from stonechips.
Just put one on your backplate and cut it out,works perfect!

Available at your local car - automotivestore.
