I got my first JS model! (JS1000)

I got a used white JS 1000 from Guitar Center day-before-yesterday for $799 with a free Ibanez hardshell case! The guitar is in pristine condition. Anyone know what year it is and what bridge it comes with? I am assuming it is and Edge of some sort. Serial #'s are: Neck plate: 007753, Headstock: F0045604.

I am new to Floyd Rose style bridges. Could I have some advice on how to string this thing?

Thanks everyone.

.

According to this site it is from any year from '98 to '02 and the bridge is a LoPro Edge.

Still need advice for stringing it.

Thanks

looks to be a year 2000 model, yes the bridge is a Edge Lo-Pro tremolo.

that should help you out on the restringing ends of things, plus making sure when you restring that your bridge is at the correct angle and such.

I have five springs holding the bridge just to make sure that I wouldn't have the problem of the bridge lifting up when I strung it.

Thanks for the information.

5 springs might be too much and pull the bridge down to a bad angle. Read up on http://www.ibanezrules.com/tech/setup/angle.htm and set your bridge with the correct angle. If you are not skilled in this area, take it to your local tech and have him set it up to your string gauge.
