I think I'm going to buy a Jem77BRMR

I've had my PGM301 for a few months now and I love it but I think I want to have a guitar with a trem again. I've been listening to a lot of Satch and Vai again and I miss the emotive licks you can create with a trem. The only reason I'm even thinking about getting another guitar is for the trem and I don't want to have my only guitar be trem equipped. I like having a hard tail for drop and open tunings.

I've been looking at various trem equipped Ibanezes and I know I want something that looks cool. I'm not going to own a ton of guitars again (been there, done that) so I want to make it count. While the 77VWH is nice, I already have a white guitar so I don't want another one. I thought about the 2006 Limited Edition Puzzle Piece top guitar and decided that it was a little too "radical" for me. I could see getting sick of that look but the BRMR seems simple looking enough to not getting annoying after a while.

Visting this site on a regular basis has rubbed off on me. I've owned a lot of different guitars over the years but I've never owned a Jem (though I did get one of the first UV777 MCs when they came). I've listened to Vai for years. I bought Flexable on vinyl for God's sake! It's probably about time I bought Jem and the BRMR looks like the one for me.

Re: I think I'm going to buy a Jem77BRMR

I've owned some pretty crazy looking guitars in my lifetime such as this one:

so I have a pretty good idea of what will wear on me after a while.

There's a certain simplicity and beauty in the BRMR finish. While it's flashy it's also simple to me. I can't explain it any better.

Hi,

I definitely recommend the 77BRMR! Since I have it, together with my UV7BK, I only play Mom & Dad http://demogorgos.is-a-geek.net/guitars/mom&dad.JPG

The Breeds ROCK!!!

Regards,

D.

Re: I think I'm going to buy a Jem77BRMR

Yes, I did own that guitar and as it turns out, it used to be a beat to heck Ibanez Destroyer that I bought for $250. I replaced the neck with a custom made one. I had a friend who specialized in carving make the body for me. He also molded the fake rubber teeth and the eye is from a taxidermist.

No I was never in Great White though I worked for a guy who was an intern at a studio when they were doing some recording there.

Join the contest.

What's $25 for a chance, isntead of $2300 for one?

Ah, I think you guys should have checked out my stats before you suggested the contest. I'm not eligible due to the date I joined (March 2006). You have to have joined the site in or before February 2006.
