Re: Ibanez js 700

The JS1600 and the JS2000 are both great guitars. Most of the JS700 around are the Korean versions which are not so good, not as well built as the Japanese JS1600 and JS2000. The 1600 has more of a strat hard tail feel whereas the JS2000 has more of a trem guitar palm feel due to the hard tail Edge bridge.

Re: Ibanez js 700

Do you have a chance to play them first?

Are they both in great shape?

Do you know how to set up a guitar?

The 1600 needs to be set up properly to be great guitar. The 2000 is easier to set up good enough to play well.

I own two JS's and one is the 1600. I would be happy with either of the two.

No, with the 1600 nut lubrication(hehehe) and string retainer bar height is crucial to its playability. Not to mention each string saddle on the bridge has its own height adjustment. Hope that the bridge radius matches the fret radius.

The 2000 "should" come shimmed from the factory with bridge/fret radius matching. My 1000 bridge radius was was off on B and G strings.

Crappy setup can make the most expensive guitar play like the worst guitar.

ok i see...i thought that this js2000 fixed bridge is more complicated,i have rga321f with gibraltar plus bridge which is so easy to set up and thought this js700 or js1600 gonna be pretty easy to .
