It's a JS1000, White, now discontinued about everywhere [even Japan], so as a distributor they can make a custom order [just as any distributor can]. Love the chrome hardware , I've been pleading for it on a JS for years, and they're smart enough to have it Edge equiped to give it "some" credibility. Bottom line it's a JS1WH with the digitized neck and a serial numbered signature? Ohh yea, I'm impressed.

Yeah, but what i want to know is why serial #'s 2, 3, and 8 are $300 more than 4-7 and 9-10. Sorry, that just isn't adding up...

That would require you to know a little about the culture. 4, not a good number, like 13 is to us. 8, is like 7 to us, it's their lucky number. So 1-3 get upcharged, and 8 since it's a highley desirable number. I wouldn't be surprised if 88 gets upcharged too

Ahh... thanks, Rich, that i didn't know. I still think it's weird and IMO not worth a $300 price difference, but at least i know it's not completely arbitrary now...

Not arbitrary, culture based.

And I would have an interest in a "distributor custom", if it was actually "custom", like give me a silver met. JS1000 w/chrome and I'll be first in line

It's not a true custom, that was kinda my point. We're talking about a JS1WH here, nothing "custom" about it. Any signature series changes or revisions need the artists aproval, but any distributor can order any model that's been made in the past [already approved], they just have to order a minimum quantity. This is why you see them with 100 of these JS, which IMO [and since they do not ship outside the country] is way more than they can sell. Expect a glut of these to be around awhile.
