The Ibanez Jem - 50K Celebration (Price tag wanted)

So How much do you think it will cost? even before we know anything about the model.

2 years and a half planning the model.... Men didn't think it so much to go to the moon.... (A fast calculation shows they have sold more than 51K by now...)

Well.... back to the question.... If they finally decide to do something before the 100K.... How much it will cost us?

Did they even say they would release a commemorative model? 50,000 jems is a ton of money >.>

It would be cool if it was neon, or at least had green pickups or something.

Does anyone have SURE confirmation that there's even going to be a 50th??

I've seen confirmation on the 20th, but not the 50k.

Then again....I'm very slow and sorta mentally handicapped...if ya haven't noticed

they pretty much need the 20th to create sales warranted for the 50k celebration. granted i'm posting with no info except ibanez' historical business practices.

i HIGHLY doubt they sold over 4k jems in the past 30 months... glen

I just made a fast thing...

Mikey said in the beg. of 2004 to have sold 45K

17 years -------------------- 45.000 units sold
19'5 years ------------------- X units sold

X = 51.617 units sold up to now.

Re: The Ibanez Jem - 50K Celebration (Price tag wanted)

hmmmmm

They have sold an average of 220'6 per month = 7'35 every day (Sundays included)

Not bad for a 20 year period eh?

I would love to see the statistics. I mean, I am sure after the release of a record or after a tour they sell much more Jems...

I also would love to see in which moments of his career he sold more guitars then comparing with the sales of his records...

That would be interesting.

Re: The Ibanez Jem - 50K Celebration (Price tag wanted)

You are absolutley right, Im guessing, about sales coinciding with highlights in his career as well as product line diversity. I would also suspect that sales have slowed down at this point for the very same reasons. We may still yet be short of 50K.

Remember, as popular and enticing as PMC, GMC, DNA, 10th, LNG, BFP, 90th, were - they were all limited in production. The DY, FP, and VWH almost certainly make up the bulk of most jems sold over the years by production numbers and years manufactured alone.

Just my opinion

Dear bro, Math are math...

I am sure there have been ups and downs in this 20 years and probably we're now just in a low sales period.

In any case I just can guess without all the facts. The best we can do is calculate the mean and work with it.

Do you have facts (in numbers please) you'd like to share with us?
That'd be simply great!!!
