Ibanez Jem 777DY Custom Project

After searching the evil auction site for the perfect DY Jem for me... I decided to make another custom Jem

UDATES: Bought a NatePerle replacement 777DY pyramid neck... Will make a NGD thread when I get it all along with an unboxing video possibly. I also bought a pick guard from him, and some screws and such.

I bought the Ibanez Multipole proper switch, so if anyone wants to buy my fender 5 way switch for 15 bucks with shipping included let me know!

The gear:

Pots,TEMPORARY NECK (getting a custom built 777DY replacement neck or the real neck... Bought a real 777DY neck on ebay a few days ago but the seller bailed on me... :S ) Locking strap buttons, fender five way selector switch, Gotoh trem (Best possible Gotoh trem, forget the model #) Evo N M B pink pickups, Original Green ibanez knobs, DY headstock decal

Color matched DY, Only the first few coats so it's not the true colour yet. Used painters tape to cover a few cavities and the lions claws!

Bought this decal off BestDecals, looks like great quality!

Dimarzio Evolutions (N M B) (PINK) Only thing I'm missing is the faded pickups
]

Gotoh Trem (Very comparable to Floyd rose Trem's) The flash on my blackberry makes it look less attractive, but trust me... it's a pretty trem

Other pictures will be on a separate post due to 7 picture limit!

Thanks for looking at my thread, and I will keep it updated during the duration of my build.

Any comments, suggestions, or constructive criticism is welcome, but please keep positive.

Thanks

Re: Ibanez Jem 777DY Custom Project

Original stock ibanez knobs (25 years old)... I paid too much for these... Haha

Bought Proline parts (pots, input) from Guitar centre while I was down in Florida

Now this... Im not too sure about... It's a five way FENDER selector switch. The guy at guitar centre just threw it in the pile of parts. Do Jems usually have 5 way switches, or do they use 3 ways?

5 way
But if you want a coiltap with the middle pup in pos 2 and 4 like on the jems i dont think that will work and youll need a multipole vlx91 switch which are more expensive

I think all jems have the multipole but i could be wrong. Check the ibanez back catalogue issues on ibanezrules.com

They will be the exact same pink colour, I just covered them with painters tape so it wasn't painted yellow.
