Re: Identify This Jem

If I had to guess from that photo- I'd say it's either a homemade JEM, or a BSB with a different neck-- but I suspect it's a homemade one.

Re: Identify This Jem

If I had the pleasure of owning one, I'd easily trade any JEM for an RGART1. Not for a 1527 though. To each his own I guess. But doesn't it just bother you when someone can't come up with decent sentence construction in their mail?

As for the 'Jem', I'm not sure it is one. But the closest I can think of would be a BSB with a black pickguard. Maybe you could ask for a close-up photo?

-EDIT-

After squinting a bit, I'll have to go with jem7wh's assesment.

Re: Identify This Jem

Why would he? All you did was post an ad to generate some interest, right? But offering a 1527 with some cash would be a better trade TBH.

Re: Identify This Jem

Thats a 777, either a DY, SK or LNG, that's been painted black and has had the pickup covers (or pickups themselves) changed.

He looks like the kind of idiot that'd type something like that "d0Od u're gitar sux!!!"

Stupid sod.

It does look like a DBK body if you look close enough....squint hard enough. They look like a dorky punk band

Re: Identify This Jem

IMO, it's a 777 with black pickups and knobs and the body has been painted flat black.

I think it's an older Jem (777DY, LNG or SK...most likely SK) that has been repainted. It does not have the correct shape around the neck joint for an AANJ, and the neck (looks like a Pyramid neck) looks pre AANJ too.

I guess it was repainted because it's hard to be taken seriously as a dorky punk band with a bright pink guitar!

Re: Identify This Jem

I'm not sure about the Jem, but I can identify the band as tools, and I think the guy with long hair (probably the drummer), is trying to not check out the guy in front of him. I think he's interested in pounding some other skins.
