Question Info on this guitar please?

http://cgi.****.com/ws/****ISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

*edit* since jemsite won't show the links, here's the item number: 7303044301

I have searched jemsite.com and i can't find any info on this guitar on the jem info page, does anyone know what pickups, what the body is made out of, is it one of the better JEM's/UV's? etc...

Thanks!

Re: Info on this guitar please?

It is what the auction describes it as - probably the rarest UV series, as it was only made for a year.

You'd need to go to www.e'bay.com and put the number 7303044301 into the search box at the top. Then you'll see the guitar.

I think it is probably the rarest universe to be honest, definitely not the rarest Ibanez Jem type guitar though. Anybody know of any rarer Universes? If so I'll have to start hunting them on the 'bay...

Re: Info on this guitar please?

it's just a 1997 UV7BK w/ silver trim replacing green. production totals are unknown. Definately the shortest production run of a UV but "rare" and "desirable" are two entirely different things... glen

Re: Info on this guitar please?

i say the rarest UV is the UVMC ive never actually seen one of those being sold, or even on teh bay, followed by the UVPWH both quite rare and the UVGR is rare too, inface the UVs alltogeather (cept the 777) are kinda sort after :s

But the uv777bk is the prettiest, IMO.

Re: Info on this guitar please?

I owned one of these at it was rubbish! I know before you lynch me let me explain, I bought a UV97BK off **** for about $800 in good condition. But certain things bugged me, the neck seemed HUGE the pickups where uninspiring and the trem was stiff

Even after setting it up not much life in it, however when I sold it and bought a UV7MC I noticed a FANTASTIC difference. For a start it had a thinner oiled neck, the pickups sounded awesome (For The Love Of God's EXACT sound) and the trem was soooo sensitive I only had to blow on it for it to move!

So buy a UV7MC and get a monster!

Re: Info on this guitar please?

To be honest though, I think you're probably just had a bad one. When I bought my last UV in Hong Kong I must have played about 8-9 "identical" UV777BKs in different Tommy Lee shops. Some were average some were good and a one was total dog to play; all with simular height action too.

Of course the one I bought plays like a dream...

Anyway, looks like this auction's been relisted (7306484477). Supprised it didn't make more than 500 to be honest.
