Inlay issues.

Does anyone know if lemon oil or any other conditioner could have an effect on the seating of acrylic fretboard inlays, having one of the 2019 re-issue RG550 (DX) models the first six or so 'sharktooth' inlays are quite large and I was interested to find out if there are any known issues such as shrinkage that have been reported.

Re: Inlay issues.

I've never heard of that before with any sort of inlay. I'm pretty sure inlays are installed with epoxy... at least I've seen that done before, I could be wrong on that being a typical or... industry standard method. Lemon oil has been around forever. If anything adding to much oil would cause swelling. Now... maybe if the board was left untreated for a long time and it cause the board to get dry and shrink... THAT I could see being a possibility.
