Re: js 100 pickup dilema
I would suggest to look closely to the tone you are trying to achieve and not so much to the pickups selection. Remeber that andy Timmons play thru a strat style Ibanez that is made of Aldre and has a maple fretboard. That selection of pickups might not sound the way you want them to sound on a guitar made out of Basswood and with a rosewood fretboard... Look at websites of the major aftermarket pickup brands and look at the tonal descriptions of each pickup. Also look at the specs of the pickups you like and try to find a humbucker that is close in description to the single coil sound on the AT100. What I did was that I called Dimarzio and Seymour Duncan customer service and popped the question about what tone I wanted on my JS100. They know a lot about what they do, after all is their job to do so!
