JS 1000 Feel - How does it feel?

I have just bought a JS 1000, but it hasn't arrived yet. *I actually haven't even played one before, but I know they're good. *I played a 100 and I liked it, so I figured the 1000 is just much better. *Can I get everyone's feedback on the feel of the 1000? *Negative and positive please. *Also, if I am right, the JS has a BNJ, and not AANJ, does the BNJ get in the way, when you play, in the hay, late in the day?

JS 1000 Feel

 About 4yrs ago I picked up a friends JS. This was the first time I had,and I didn't even know it was a satch guitar. I Just remember how comfortable EVERYTHING was and how I fell in love! So *a few years later I buy a JS100 and for the 10 months I owned it something was just missing. Sure I knew things were different on a JS1000, but I didn't know my friends I had played before was one and I hadn't *touched another one until one day I go walking in the Japanese shop and the BTB 1000 model was there. I pick it up, plug in, and the biggest smile just comes across my face and all those great memories I had of that first one just came back. Hope that helps! Sorry to get all sentimental on everybody.......*sob*.....*sob*..............excus e me..........

I didn't think there were any. *Doesn't bother me though, afterall, I am not a southpaw.

Oh, I forgot though, there is a lefty Jem 555. *The 555LWH I believe, but that's the only one I think.

You righties (or should I say, 'normal people') are so lucky. You have your 777's, your 10th's, your Chromeboys, your JPM's, this, and that, and the only things you guys have to worry about are the price and availability. Sometimes I wonder, 'How much more would I suck right now if I had started the "right way" (both literally and figuratively, I suppose) 6 years ago?' Ah well, I'm stuck with my backwards-ness forever.

The supply of lefty guitars is IMHO (and not just because I'm a lefty... but mostly) a poor representation of the demand. To me it seems like guitar companies are making cheap lefty guitars just to fill a marketing niche. (With the exception of Ernie Ball.) But I guess I can't complain; it will only fall on deaf ears. Have fun with your nice guitars. :lame:

EDIT: In response to your EDIT: Have you seen the general Jemsite consensus on 555's? Apparently the better alternative is just to Jem-ify an RG. Like I said, the guitar companies are making crappy lefties [555 included] JUST to fill the marketing niche.

I agree with you about companies simply filling the marketing niche. *However, I have nothing against the 555. *I have played YngVaiTriani's 555 and I love it. *I'm not going to get into a big stink over that guitar, because I know it's gonna make some hairs stand on end. *Anyway, I do feel sorry for you lefties, cuz I know I have only seen maybe 1 or 2 lefty guitars in all the stores I've been to, the companies just seem to brush you guys off as a little minority I guess.

Thanks . It's nice to see some sense of compassion/agreement on this subject.

As for the 555, ... what I meant (but didn't clarify - I apologize) when I said the 555's were crap is, that they aren't NEARLY as good as the 7's, or the 777's, what have you, but compared to others of its price range, it's definitely near the top of the heap. However, seeing as how I have a RG470 already, I would rather upgrade it than get a whole new guitar, leaving the RG470 out to 'die.'

Plus the 555 is discontinued anyway. I have no problem with your having nothing against it.

If the 555 is discontinued then why is it still shown on the japanese ibanez page?
