The majority of us would notice it. We're talking about giving Joe a JS100 out of the box and just tuned by his tech (nothing more, no pickup adjustments, truss or anything), against him playing one of his guitars, I think he would sound totally different.

Dum question, but how can identify is the guitar is a JS100 or a JS 1000, because I´m planning to buy one, but the seller can tell me the model of the guitar....

Thanks for advance.......

Re: JS 1000 vs. 100 - Vote, real or not?

The JS100 will have an inlay on the 22nd fret that says "Joe Satriani" and the headstock has the Ibanez logo in white.

The JS1000, on the other hand, doesn't have a while Ibanez logo on it, it's gold. There is no "Joe Satriani" inlay and the guuitar will say "Team J-Craft" along with "made in Japan" on the back of the headstock.

I own a Burnt Blue JS1000 and love it.

I've played alot of JS100's too, they're decent guitars but the price on them is too high. They feel quite a bit different than the 1000's and the tone is no where near.

A six year old dead horse that's been beaten beyond the realms of death.

Someone please put it out of it's misery and let it rest in infinite peace.
