Js 2000 Re-route possibilities for Trem?

So i was looking at pics contemplating a re route of js 2000 for a trem in order to have the only gold js 2000 with wang. Have seen a few posts online that reckon its possible but from what I can tell, its a total non starter.

Check out the routing, just in case anyone else decides they might want to do this i think it would be a pretty ugly affair as the routing is slightly wider?

Maybe its just these pics though. Anyone know where to find precise dimensions?

It's like 95 millimeters wide at the widest point of the route.
Looks like a no go to me as well.if you're skilled you can fill the area that needs it and once refinished you'd never know.
But you may not want to go into it that deep.

I'm going off a jem blueprint, but it's the same basic route.

Re: Js 2000 Re-route possibilities for Trem?

i think you would ruin a 2000 myself. Why not get a 1000 and have it painted ? It would probably be cheaper. The 1000 goes for about 1200 to 1300 if not less and you can get it painted for 350. You can get a 2000 for around 800 or 900 and then route it and drop a 200 dollar trem in it. It works out about the same and you dont risk messing up a good body.

I agree with j. Get another JS and have it custom painted.

Messing with a JS2000 is heresy. Leave it as is. One of the best guitars ever.

I agree, dont mess with a 2000. Get crazy on a custom body.

Um I'll buy the JS2000 from you so you don't ruin a perfectly good guitar.
