The ONLY differences are the color and the fixed Lo Pro on the 2000.

I also must repeat Rich on this so more posts don't get made...the ONLY difference is the color and the fixed lo pro edge....EVERYTHING else is the same...so neither is a better guitar than the other...it's more preference on if you want a fixed bridge or a floating trem.

actually, i have it on good authority that the body of the 2000 is dipped in a "special sauce" prior to finishing, that both makes you play louder, faster, and cleaner than you ever thought possible, and also tastes great on steaks, to boot.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the bridge on the JS-2000
was a *Lockable* Edge trem. Meaning you pull a lever or something
and it locks the bridge effectivly making it a fixed bridge.

Rich, have you had one in your hands yet?

The bridge on the JS2000 is fixed, PERIOD. It's only the base of a LoPro, so it locks and has fine tuners. NO arm though. It's mounted as a stop-bar would be. Gives the mass and stability of a LoPro/locking trem, but there is no tremolo.

I'm seriously considering picking one up this week...got a killer deal on one, but I'm trying to decide if it would be a worthwhile addition to the family. Sure would look nice next to the JS10th!

Thanx for clearning that up...I must have misread something...

I think it's a great idea...I'm still looking for a JS-6 because I want a
fixed bridge for doing funky tunings, and a mohogany body for that
*rich* tone.

If they come out with the JS-2000 in a different color, I think I'd be all
over it!

Well...there's a JS6 recently added on the "Classifieds" list, but...ya might not like the price.

The JS2000 IS a killer axe, and with the multi-radiused neck the feel is excellent. The extra mass of the FX bridge definitely gives it a bit beefier tone.

Doh! There is one on EBAY too!

Thanx for pointing that out to me guys...

I've been avoiding the classifieds because I recently put money down on
a 777BK and I need to put some money towards restoring my old ass
Porsche...
