I like the JS2K, but they don't even come close to the Donnies... :donnie:

As a previous owner of a JS2K, here is my take. Pretty cool looking, might have to go with Rich, no big deal though. SUPER HEAVY, man I wouldn't care to have this thing hangin from my neck for long. Tone, well IMO it is ok... not the best but not the worst either. As a new owner of a JS 1000 BTB it gets my vote far and above a JS2K and you'll save a ton in funds.

Actually, I was just being cute hoping to start Iain and I's old, clearly/transparent parody debate again. I'd take a Crystal over 3 BTB's anyday!

I'm right there with Rich...I've had a few JS1000's, and there really is no comparison to the JS2K. *The Crystal Planet is in a league of it's own...I love mine! *(Back breaker at gigs, but the response to it is well worth the pain!)

It would take 3 btb's to pay for a js2k :-)

Heck, I want a quilted top over basswood JS1000 tiger eye... I've give a few btb's for that!

Clearly, that was Rich's point :lame:. A CP is 3 times the axe a BTB is . Tone as smooth as glass.

Rich is a cool guy, but completely transparent, when it comes to collectible JS'.

I tried so hard to resist the temptation; clearly, I couldn't.

LOL... I'll give my vote that a CP costs 3 times more, but isn't 3 times better in any certian way, but everyone loves their particular guitars... none of the guitars I love are necessarily expensive by far. Most were 1400 or less(excluding any upgrades like new pups, trems etc..). They are all production guitars as well. Sometimes you can find a dang good production model, while some or most lack the mojo. I'm gonna talk Rich out of a rainforest one day.. I'm studying hypnotisim for this one purpose, I'm desperate!

as an extra note, I've owned almost one or more of the custom shop/high end guitar of most brands, they didn't swoon me beyond belief, I'm so picky and strange... Rich already knows I'm strange, he is use to it... he isn't shocked to see me let go of Jem10s JS2Ks dnas.. but keep my lowly js btb. A guitar just has to have that certian thing to make me keep it.

*I'm* transparent?! I can see right through that vain attempt to instigate me to comment on something I cannot see!! My intentions are as clear as day. Someday you may see my position
