JS 6 IN EUROPE ?

Hi everyone. I came across this brilliant site and just can resist to post a topic about JS 6.

I know JS 6 have been produced in very few numbers and it's very hard to find one particularly in Europe. I now even wonder if JS 6 (or JS 6000) has ever been traded in Europe and especially in France.

Does anyone knows and around how many were traded overhere ?

Many thanks for your help and keep on playing.

the js-6 is the top-object-of-interest for me, too atm...
i live in germany... but the only one i could find during the last few months was one on ebay that got sold for 1480 POUNDS! (so you see, they're traded in europe... but it's never worth 1,5grand of POUNDS, imo ;()

james (wildwayz) told me a good and realistic price would be ~700 pounds.

I would say a good and reasonable price would be 700 Euros.

1480 pounds is insane.

They're worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for them

They're great guitars, and aren't terribly common overseas from what I've seen.

I've had (3) JS6s and a JS6000, all of which were terrific in terms of both tone & playability.

I've paid as little as $300 for one JS6, and as much as $600 for another- all of which are pretty reasonable prices considering what they seem to bring on EBay. But, after having had a few, I'd have no problem paying as much as $800-900 for a minty JS6.

It'd be the perfect guitar for me, tbh. since i really LOVE mahogany and don't use the trem anyways (the edge on my 90thHAM is blocked....)

but as a 17yr old i couldn't even afford 500€ for one... and i'm not willing to sell my 90th! (maybe my esp-telecaster... well... ne1 trade the js-6 for it? )

Yeah. From what I learnt, JS 6 (and even JS 6000 whereas Korean made?) have a great sound and feel which is quite different of JS 1000 models ones. I guess under $1000 it's worth to have and play one (mint of course).

this will seem like heresy, but if you want a mahogany guitar with a fixed bridge, awesome tones, a great neck (to your own specification) and looks to die for, and can get yourself to london occasionally, you need to visit http://www.blackmachine.co.uk

I know it's not an ibanez, but they're incredible. I love mine in a way that's not altogether wholesome.

JS6's are pretty rare in the uk, yeah. I've never seen one in the flesh.

blackmachine won't do a copy of anything - their own designs are awesome though.

LOL Not much of a wall anymore Been focusing on more important things lately, so a lot of stuff has gone down the road. I kept most of the really good stuff though.

I've lost the string retainer bar somewhere off mine, and I need to get a new one. I had to import mine from the USA as I couldn't find one at a decent price in decent condition. I've seen them trade hands for up to £2000. Make of that what you will, money is relative and some folks have more than they know what to do with. I don't know how many were brought in to the UK let alone into France I'm afraid. Your best bet would probably to get one from the USA.

Chances to get one in the US are higher than in Europe ? Guess they remain very rare even there. Rich put only a "used" one on sell in June  and I think it's the sole one he ever proposed on his used pages :?:
