js 900 / js 1000

i'm quite tight on money, and i could afford myself a 900 with some efforts. should i really wait for the extra-cash to get the 1000?
what are the differences except for the lo'pro vs edge, a push/pull maybe?

the edge is considered by many to be the superior trem with more flutter. Vai and satchs main players dont "typically" have the low pro, but its never been stated that either have a preference for either trem system. Basically just get the one u like the color the best on. lol. I think the 900 is missing the high pass filter and coil tap right rich? Not sure though.

No push pulls, and I don't think it's ever been settled wether it has the digitized fretboard or not.

I think it has the coil tap (after all, 100s have it), but not the filter. Im not sure whether it has a prestige neck, let alone the digitized copy...

Best bet is to try and find one, and see if *you* can tell the difference

essentially not alot, but since the 1000 has the coil taps and the high pass filter the guitar is going to be alot more versatile

No coil tap or high pass filter on the 900. And afaik the neck isn't the same either.

You'll be losing out on coil-tapped tones (which sound good on the JS1000 btw) and also the versatility allowed by the switchable high pass filter.

IMO it's worth waiting for the JS1000. You'll only have to spend more later to add the features you skimp on now.
