Chesbro doesn't even have the plates yet, and the story is, Hoshino is shorting them 11 plates and only sending them 14!!

So if you buy the guitar, you have to wait for the signed plate?? How does that work?? I,d be pretty dissappointed if I bought the FP without that on there.....just wondering......

Does it really matter as long as you eventually get the plate?

No, not to me...I already have a '90 FP and wouldn't buy one just because it has a "signed" plate.. But, for the people that are buying one.....

This is just more of the same-ole-same-ole when it comes to Hoshino and Chesbro. Chesbro had to hold all their Y2K's because Hoshino didn't send them cases until all of Hoshino's were basically delivered to dealers. Chesbro ended up using those grey lined cases for the LNG's because they couldn't wait any longer for Hoshino to send them the pink lined pyrimid cases. You'll find Jem10's from Chesbro missing certs because they weren't sent enough, now FP15 backplates. It's just the status quo. Chesbro is thought of as the little peeon distributor out in butt**** country, and are basically treated as such by Hoshino. I've personally heard this attitude toward Chesbro from several Hoshino employees [definately not all, but it is a prevailing attitude].

If you think a signed plate will make your FP Limited, Anniversary or something like that....good for you.

ibanez' loyalty should be to customers, not "distributors" like Chesbro who list guitars on ebay, etc... glen

Not that I'm happy Chesbro listed discontinueds on ebay, but evidently they got the messagebecause they have 22 02' VSBL's in stock and I haven't seen them on ebay yet.

Chesbro also has a better buy percentage that Hoshino, which means their customers save a few bucks.

They've been an Ibanez distributor just as long as Hoshino has, they deserve the territory they have, they earned it. They've also been extremely loyal, not something you'd know much about.

Not the way I see it. Chesbro will bring in the small batches that Hoshino won't touch. JS-BTB's, and let's not forget how this whole FP15 crap started! Hoshino may give better customer service in the final count, but I see no reason the "customer" would be better served with a unified territory.
