Jem 20th VS Jem777LNG

Okay so here's the deal.
I have a

Jem 20th anniversary- 100% mint, ohsc, docs, etc.

Jem777LNG- 100% mint, palmrest, ohsc, all original docs, etc

I need to sell one of these guitars to buy a car.
My question is probably not the most interesting one or the easiest to answer, but I need to know which one I should sell.

Which is more valuable, what do you think will increase in value, etc.

The 20th hasn't had much time to gain value as it's still sort of a new-ish model...I just don't know what to do. I LOVE them both equally, I just want to make sure I sell the right one.

Re: Jem 20th VS Jem777LNG

I think that the LNG is the one to keep and the 20th the one to sell.

The LNG will only ever go up in value, slowly but surely, the 20th I think will only depreciate, I've not seen a lot of profit in the 20ths since they went on sale and they didnt' ever seem to sell well from new.

Others may have facts, I only have a feeling for the market, so take what I've said with a pinch of salt. But a pinch of salt that's been playing jems for the best part of 20 years

Re: Jem 20th VS Jem777LNG

20th hands down.

I'd say that neither guitar is hard to find, but the JNG will be way harder to find in the condition you have. If you want another 20th, wait a week and there will probably be another half dozen for sale.

I don't think that the 20th is a good investment at all really. It's sort of a weird guitar with no real history behind it other than being an anniversary model. The price on them seems to have been basically static for years.

As I've told you before, if I were collecting Jems, the 20th would be the last one I bought. These aren't players, so they're always in really good condition. Plus, the price never seems to change, so you're never missing out on a good deal.

Keeping the LNG is a pretty safe bet, I think.

I'd keep the LNG, its something about the original trio that is just too cool

Keep the LNG, it's got mojo, and the 20th is VERY VERY HEAVY! No kidding, its gotta be 20lbs! not a "everyday" kind of guitar.

I figured....the only thing that sucks is the Jem 20th plays and absolutely amazing! For real I was suprised, having never heard the trans-Jem pups. Very very tight

I think I weighed it when I got it, and it clocked in right at 10 or 11 lbs.

Re: Jem 20th VS Jem777LNG

Just clocked in at 11.5 lbs, but it feels a bit heavier than that.

Maybe my scale is off. I weighed 177.5 lbs this morning, maybe I really weigh 180!

Re: Jem 20th VS Jem777LNG

So 2 lbs really makes that big of a difference then! That's nuts! It feels easily twice as heavy a my LNG!
