Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

Looks like #326 is on eBay now. Too rich for my blood though.

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

Pretty damn nice package overall. As he mentioned, not the original Chesbro case. Not sure I believe the "never been displayed" part either. Pickups seem to have a small bit of fade, although that may have come from it being displayed at a store before it was purchased.

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

Nice find guys, I've been getting some good info on LNG's lately , but still a long way to go.

Also, cool how this serial number is so close to the LNG # ...328 vs 326.

And everytime I see original case receipts adn old catalogs, it was never an LNG just LG, I know loch ness is two words but they stamped it as LG, at what point did LNG take over LG?

And $4K for an SK up also. wow.

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

It's nice to see that many people have taken great care of their LNGs over the years.
Whenever I see a beat or repainted one, it kills me.

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

It's worth that money. I'm not sure I buy the whole "I forgot I recased it" bit, but it's worth more in that case than in the original Chesbro IMO.

BTW, you'll see a pop star playing one on tour soon.

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

Case appears to be a '90 or '91 UV1000C, no? Looks just like the case my '91 FP came in. The latches on my GMC case were different.

Kind of surprised you think that case is worth more than the Chesbro? With what I've seen about things like warranty cards and other case candy driving the price up, I'd think it would be worth more in the original case?

Not disagreeing that the UV1000C is a way better case, just sayin'.

I think this is the rare exception. The Chesbro case wasn't even an Ibanez case, and if we had any idea what to look for you could probably pick one up for $40.

I've seen it referred to as an RG520 case although the ones I see with other guitars always have a different color interior. I've only seen the light grey with the LNG.

That one has a very light interior. Most I see have a charcoal interior.

If it doesn't say Ibanez on it I seriously doubt it is.

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

I think that's just what people call it. I'm assuming that it's whatever case Chesbro sourced. I've seen that case referred to as an RG520 case a bunch of times.

Were RG520's mostly distributed by Chesbro?
