Jem 77V

I own a yamaha for almost 15 years now, an RGX621 and it served me well. Great guitar. Well, long story short I'm buying a new guitar. And had the chance of buying a 555bk, but it still has the lo-trs II, and been playing for like a month with it and I can't set it up right, the neck is great but the trem just can't tune, a friend of mine owns a jem7v (or similar, it's like 10 years old) and he says he has same problems with trem and a new set of springs might fix it. But think I might just buy a new one, been reading this forum and seen all the hate bout the 555 :P.

Anyway my question is, any comments about the 77v? Personally I love the black more than the white one. Any differences besides the basswood or alder body?

And if I can't afford a jem between a 555 and a rg2550 I should go rg, right?

Re: Jem 77V

I've had a JEM 77VBK for 4 months now and I think it is an amazing guitar. If money is a concern, the RG2550 would be a better choice than the 555. Good luck with your decision.

Alder is brighter sounding wood than basswood. I own 7vwh and it screams!
And if you stuck between jem555 and rg2550 you should go with rg2550, definitely!
