Here used a plastic insert that sat right in the cavity, up against the clear guard. The edges of the insert were beveled so that it sat pretty well on its own, and he swirled them with this piece in place.

I always wondered what was hole in the body doing to sound of guitar.
When I got it, I thought the same, but I hadn't noticed any difference.

Thank you...exactly right.

I like blue more than red, so I found a PBK and had Herc swirl it in the colors of an Imperator Angel Fish, which are blue/black/white. I am in the process of a complete setup after several years of being dormant, but all parts remain original (except finish). Really like the disappearing pyramid inlays.

Absolutely beautiful!

P-BK and RB are easily my favourite JEMs to play, the neck profile is awesome. I'd love to buy one but I've never seen one come up for sale in Australia since 1991.

I had a chance to get a RB in the mid 90's for $900 AUD. By the time I went home to grab a guitar for a trade in, they (the shop) had sold it... Still pisses me off to this very day.

Re: Jem 7FBK and 7RB

I was in a similar situation when I worked for Venue Music in the 90's. They had an RB on sale for $995 down from $1995, but because I was staff I wasn't allowed to buy it unless it didn't sell on the day. My best friend at the time ended up buying it as he was first in line when the doors opened. I was gutted, but at least I got to play it from time to time.

I really hope they do a reissue of the two models, with the correct neck profile.

That’s the trick: exactly *the same* neck profiles, one piece neck and heel width. If they do that, I am in.
