jem maple

hello jemsters!i have a question , help apreciated!
is "wonder wipes" a good thing to use to clean a jem maple board?

Well, those are fretboard conditioners so it shouldn't hurt the board.

works fine, it has orange oil other than lemon oil, so its safe for maple boards

Orange oil? I love the smell of that better than lemon--I'm going to have to try some of these--thanks for the heads-up fellas!

hmm so orange oil is good?about the wonder wipes use comditioner , polish or cleaner?
and what about lacquer covering on a jem maple fretboard?

Shouldn't hurt the finish either. Don't forget, similar products are used as furniture polish.

no experience mate!i'm not gonna try it on PMC just like that..!a seller on *&%bay certified one says that only dark woods and no lackeur...so maple is excluded...damn.

Are you just trying to keep the board conditioned, or are is it in need of a good cleaning? If you need to clean it, then follow the tutorial sticky here:

it is a little dirty to the third of the frets but my main point is that it isnt glossy enough nowadays..the hands stick a little when playing fats.thats all.cant explain it better.
and about the sticky thread i know it exists a before i post i search.but here in Greece we dont have simple green.only electr toothbrush..hehh

Sounds like the finish has worn off those few frets. As far as cleaning, Simple Green is just one of the many things to use. I use gun bore oil on all of my boards--they look factory fresh when done. I use one drop per fret and I apply and clean with an old electric toothbrush.

Music man says that they use the wonder wipes on their own maple boarded guitars before they ship them! go to the ebmm forums
