Jem Necks Question
Ok, this may be the subject of other discussions, and if so please direct me there!
I have two Jems. A VBK and an LNG. I have played all kinds of Ibanez's in my life 550, 770 prestiges and, obviously, jems. My vbk has an RG560, Japanese, neck. The guitar plays great. It is a rock solid and reliable. My lng has its original lng neck, maple fret board with the pyramid inlays. I have come to LOVE this neck (thank you charv712). It is a bit thicker than the wizard necks, but seems to fit me perfectly.
I would love to have a similar neck on my vbk. However, I am not sure if the original vbk necks have this same radius or if they are closer to the lng style. Also, I think I prefer the sound of the maple versus the rosewood fret board. So the question posed is this: Would an original vbk neck be similar to that of an lng or thinner like a wizard neck?
I know that original jem necks are somewhat difficult to come by, so I have considers going to Chis Woods or Rich Harris for a neck. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
