Jem purple ash HHH project.

Just about finished with this one .

Ash body with a really nice grain. I dyed this one with Dylon fabric mixed with meths then boat loads of Shellac .

Unfortunately I accidently deleted the rest of the progress pics

OH.......MY.........GOODNESS! IK don't think I can even comment on that, other than to say that's one purple beast I'd love to add to my ever-growing purple Ibanez collection. Let me know it you ever want to sell it.

Its dead easy to apply with a rag or brush , I used it to fill up the voids in the grain as Ash has a very open and deep grain . You just keep applying coats and sanding until its as flat as needed.
I like to have a bit of profile showing on the grain.

The final finish is cellulose from rattle-cans ( a pain in the arse as its so thin and takes ages to build up and sucks up the most minute particles of moisture in the atmosphere ).

Its done now so pics to follow

That looks sweet Zoot, I am a fan of purple and the triple H looks cool. I have to say the finish looks amazing too.

Wow, that really looks the business!

I'd suggest adding a string retainer bar. Those nuts are designed to work with one.
