I use way too many odd tunings to be bothered with one of these, or any floating trem for that matter, but if I had enough guitars to not worry about it, I'd probably give a 7-string one of these a try for standard tuning stuff.

And if anything, I think this will just mean more extreme/unusual headstock designs, not loss of headstock. Remember: guitar companies, like all companies, love to advertise

How much can the speedloader drop and lift a note? Do you have a similar range to a LoPro?

It's got quite a range - enough for me but I haven't done anything scientific to measure it.
