Cool Jem VRMR - at last:)

Hellou Jemsiters.

At LONG last!!!!! I got her........Jumps up and down! Boing boing boing......

After waiting arduously all day yesterday, somehow I missed UPS Grrrr!!! (no doubt pure Karma for my constantly “tick tocking” Tommy while he waited for Natalie

So I had to go pick her up!

Wow….words can’t describe this thing so here are some photos below. The vine was done by Sims Custom (UK) It came back with a few issues, but Martin was kind enough to cover the shipping back to make corrections. It’s pretty darn nice I must say!

I also HAVE to say that I don't even know how to begin to thank Rich enough for his guidance and participation in this project from beginning to end .

I got the BRMR from him. We waited and waited to find the nicest darkest rosewood possible. I think we when through 5 or 6 until we got the right one. Then of course there's the infamous set-up, fretwork, re-radiusing, etc. He went way out of his way to help me out with this entire process. He's actually a very cool feller once you get through the knarly abrasive Nor-Easter demeanor Just ribbin ya big boy! Thanks man…really! You do RULE!!!

Now for the play test!!! Looks are great, but I’m a player…and “Drum Roll” Wow….this thing plays GREAT!!! Very comfortable. Oh Duh….of course…..it’s a Jem. The new 5 piece necks are trippy looking with the lump at the nut, but they play awesome! At least this one does. It came in perfect tune as well thanks to the above mentioned. This is my first experience with the new trem and it works just fine with the mod. No issues there. Also, the Breeds are pretty sweet too. In between the PAF’s and the EVO’s is a great medium. The J Craft case is pretty nice as well, though I wonder how tightly these J Craft cases hold the guitar??

I guess I can say I own a RARE Jem now:-)

Whooo hoooo!!! Yip, yip yip yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee waaa wahhh yippie yoh! Oh, sorry, I got a bit carried away there

Enjoy the pics! One of them is a teaser for “Jems In Paradise #2” Can you guess which one? Again, much thanks to Rich and Martin for making what was just a dream, a reality

Well….I’m off to play her smore.......sorry for all the pics......couldn't help it, lol.

Re: Jem VRMR - at last:)

Firstly, you deserved every agonising second that you waited.

Secondly, SWEET JESUS THAT LOOKS NICE. The the first RMR that I thought looked like a proper JEM, but just to piss you off, I'm going to mention the ghost floral idea again. Why stop now? Think of the possibilities....

Thirdly, after you returned the Legacy, you never told me what amp you went for, please, prithee, do tell what those six beautiful guitars are being played through.

Fourthly, if THAT doesn't get you out of a slump, nothing will. New guitar, new new sounds, so play something new on it.

Re: Jem VRMR - at last:)

Lol....thanks guys Yes Tom, I know I deserved every second of it. I'll never tick tock anyone again

Hmm....the floral etching.....I'll have to buy a spare body to experiment on

I still haven,t gotten a new head head. But my legacy cab is ready and waiting. I'll be looking onto that soon since I am now gainfully employed again Right now I'm still playing through my old stalwort Marshalls.

Oh yeah, I've come outta my slump a while ago now. (Thank god)

Ollie, I just may finish her off with chrome pups. We'll see. The black pups kinda match the black headstock. If I got chrome pups I have to chrome the headstock, lol.

Man this thing sure plays nice. Rich did a fantastic job radiusing the neck!

Geez....every time I open the case I crap my trousers. Lotta wash going on at the moment

Re: Jem VRMR - at last:)

You're just one of those guys who just can't live without a vine, aren't you?

Anyway, congrats on you expanding your 'Jesm in Paradise' collection.

So, when's the next photoshoot?
