4. extended lower cutaway for easy access
5. Monkey Grip (duh)
6. Lo pro edge
7. scalloped frets (12-2
9. Lions claw

im going to use a neck through body kit and make a fretboard extension to put on the body *this will be my forst neck through guitar built completely from scratch tell me what you guys think

Sounds like a cool project. How is the extended neck going to affect pick-up placement? Personally, I would only scallop frets 20 and up. Are you using Alder for the body?

Yeah it sounds cool but I'm also curious how the neck pickup (if you're doing one) will fit in with the extra couple frets.

Yeah sorry about that email thing try this one [email protected] well i havent quite decided the woods im going to use im thinking either ash alder or mohoganybut if you guys have a better idea drop me aline i dont want this guitar to be light i want it to have some weight and im going for that smooth tony macalpine sound but i also want good joe satriani harmonics.

oh and check ou tmy website if you want to see a picture its only a first sketch i did in school but it will give you a good idea of the body shape its similar to a jem but the lower cutaway will be different to facilitate fret access. i also need help im not to happy with the lower cutaway, so if you have any input on that drop me a line [email protected] by the way im going to be using a carvin nec through kit as i cannot find a place that makes a thru neck tih the ibanez 7-string headstock
