JEM7 VSBL or VWH

Folks,
I am in the market for a JEM. However, I prefer the SBL in terms of feel. It's much more comfy than the VWH. However I just hate the blue color on the SBL. In real it looks plain gaudy.

I know the wood on the necks are different, but I thought the necks are basically the same in terms of size etc. In that case why is the SBL more comfortable to play?
I have already posted this on another link here. Can anyone explain what might be different between the two necks that make the SBL more comfortable than the VWH in my hands?

Thanks

Maybe the only difference in the two you played is the setup. A well setup guitar makes a world of difference and the VSBL may have been better.

Well,
I read here on the Jemsite that the SBL neck is more comfortable to play, as written by one user on "hands on player review". http://www.jemsite.com/axes/htm_opin...tm#jem7vsbl_mh

see paragraph 7.

Anyway, anyone can educate me on a proper setup? When I played both the SBL and VWH, the VWH seemed to have a lower action, but still, the SBL played better. What else might have I been missing on the setup?

Thanks!

Yo Eddie,
Thanks for the info, I did checl it out...it does make sense....baiscally it warns about the spring tension, which affects the string bending and action etc.

OK then...so lets say I get my VWH and let's say that it's not setup properly. How much should I pay an expereinced Guitar Tech to set it up for me?

Thanks!

I like looks of VSBL over VWH.

What's the problem with the plastic inlays anyway? I thought only ER was troubled by them... I cannot think of better material to do dark blue inlays.
