jem7DBk - what's the neck like, compared to jem7vwh/rg550 ?

Hey! Im about to buy a jem7dbk, but need a little info about the neck(since I'm unable to try out this guitar before I get it). How thin is it really?? Compared to the jem7V ? I've tried an rg550, but didn't like this neck much because it was so flat. I've tried the jem7v, and liked this neck very much, but I see on the ibanez site, that the jem7dbk has a thinner neck. Anyone care to fill me in on this?

thanx

The DBK is very Wizard like--wide and rather flat. I normally prefer the older Jem necks and the 7V profile but I use one of my DBK's for "on-the-go" nad for guitar-synth use and I'm used to that neck too. It's great with .010" gauge strings. It also features the bubinga skunk stripe on the back.

If you don't like the 550, you probably won't like the 7dbk.

the 7dbk is very thin! i loved it! had to sell it due to bills. the neck is not as thin as the 7vdy, but very close. the DNA neck is just as thin as the 7dbk.

no. the 7dbk is very very light and the neck is thinner. there is a difference and it's a VERY NICE difference. that is the best i can do. the 550 neck is nice but the 7dbk neck is noticeably thinner and the guitar is way lighter and the tone is a lot meaner due to the hot breed pickups. that's the best i can do.

The best neck on any guitar, to me. It's my favorite I've ever played....nicer than the 550, thinner than the 7VWH....I love it!

7dbk

the 7dbk neck is my favorite of all guitars. the 7vwh is a deeper sounding rig with unmistakable quality.you should not buy it if you are compairing these two guitars because they are totaly differant in every way, sound, feel, quality.the light weight design of the finish mixed with the sharp sound of the breeds makes it a totaly unique jem sound.it can be compaired to nothing.sorry!you will just have to buy it to see what I mean.

dldbk7 totally nailed it. i totally agree. i regret having to sell mine for all those reasons. it is totally unique. i got the most wicked distorted tight - sounding - punch metal i ever got with that guitar! the 7vwh does a fantastic job as well but those breeds......man!

I love both of them... even though the 7DBK is thinner, the 7VWH feels a lot better to me. Both have pros, don't have anything bad to say about either one.

As a lot of thing have been told about dbk, i must add its neck is for me a thin and easy to play for me.And i have a dbk, cause this guitar (for me) is very close by is neck and his pups to my dna, so i can play it hard without scrachting the dna. This guitar is as ugly looking that she sound great (i hope you will understand)

I love it
