Is a JEM7PBK any good? someone wants to trade - for gibson s

Hi guys, how good is the jem7pbk?

please relate/compare it to the other jems, and especially the jem7vwh?

what are your personal feelings/experiences with it?

thanks

you can compare it to the VWH first by looking at the spec sheets on jemsite.

the 7PBK is an old-school JEM with a different feel than the VWH. Both are the same "build quality" and neither IMHO has a substantive amount of superior parts or materials, etc.

it's really what flavor of ice-cream you prefer... glen

I'd give away an SG if I had one

I'm no big fan of the PBK's thinner neck, but otherwise expect the same playability of any Jem. They are tough to come by and are subjectively the classiest of the early models so there's always a buyer around when one pops up.

Not like I've ever seen a mint one but excellent about $1k and down from there for players.

Rich,
If you had an SG, it would be gone!!!

It's all ice cream. like Glen said. The PBK has the Wizard neck which is a bit thinner than the Jem neck. Personally, I like the Wizard neck better. Much faster IMHO. The VWH has a much beefier neck and is not as quick, in my experience...

I have one for trade too, don't know if my ad is the one your talking about. I love this guitar but don't play it much. But it will take a very nice guitar to get this Jem from me. But that's just me...

By the way, Rich, what would you pay for one???

That's my man, always fessing up with the good scratch... By the way, when was the last time you saw a MINT Jem7PBK? I bet it's been a while. I think most of these guitars were used up quick because the didn't have the obnoxious colors that the rest of the Jem line sported. That's what makes them cool. They were attractive to the masses, unlike DSY's and SK's...

Well, they're more attractive now than they were then because the neons way outsold the DB and RB.
