Is a Jem7VWH (1998) vs Jem7VSBL (2003) good deal for trade?

Hello friends, I have been offered a trade for one of my Jem7VWH (1998 with ebony fredboard) by a Jem7VSBL (2003 with rosewood fredboard), my Jem is in 9/10 condition, , with a minor ding, while the JemVSBL has several traits and dings for a 7/10. My interest is that the Jem7VSBL not even have one in my collection, while the Jem7VWH I have two of them (1993 and 199. Any suggestions? is a good deal? Thank you to all advanced ....

It's a funny thing a question like this.......
It's all about your wants and "needs", which, we know nothing off, (and how could we?).

If it's to fill fill a gap in your collection? Then, Yes swap, seems the fitting answer.
Is it worth the swap?......that's a head vs heart question.

Would I swap one of my jems??? No.
Even if I had a duplicate? Maybe.
Will another opportunity arise in the future that enables me to keep my vwh duplicate and acquire an sbl? I think so.
These are the kind of things that go through my mind in these situations.
I generally go for the "keep all my stuff and bide my time" option.

That's how I got my pristine 00 7vwh very cheap, my rg 20th fully loaded with bare knuckles very cheap, etc etc blah blah blah, and keep my collection intact.

sorry I waffled.

good luck either way! !

I like the 7VSBL more than the 7VWH, in fact is my second favorite JEM after the FP, and its a damn shame it had such a short production, but without looking at the condition of both guitars i wouldn't know if its a fair trade, the 7VWH is way more common and since you already got three of them i say why not.

I partially agree with Rafafas, but I would only trade them in case the VSBL is the lo-pro-edge model..

I agree with alvaro, I wouldn't be trading a bridge down (Edge to Edge pro).
