JEM7VWH and JEM77VBK neck profiles

Is the JEM77VBK neck profile exactly the same as a JEM7VWH (ebony)?

I would also like to know if there is any difference except the fretboard wood between previous ebony fretboard VWH necks and the later rosewood ones.

i think almost every jem has a very slightly different profile even if the measurements are the same. and lots of them have slightly different measurements (19mm-18mm etc).

Re: JEM7VWH and JEM77VBK neck profiles

there will be day to day differences, due to hand finishing (prestige)
year to year, due to construction and materials, IE:
56mm vs 58mm
one piece v three piece (aka five piece)
fret ends

Re: JEM7VWH and JEM77VBK neck profiles

Well, I have a 2005 7Vwh and a 2007 77Vbk (both have rosewood fingerboards),,,and these necks are as identical as you can get between two different guitars. It's so easy switching back and forth between them cuz they feel SO much alike. So I can verify for these years that the necks are virtually identical,,,,and they do have the exact same specs on the Ibanez website.....so they are apparently being built to be this way. But before 2005, especially back to the ebony boards,,,I'm sure there is a little more "variance" from the current models, although I have no personal experience with those Jems.
