the first three digits determine the year that the guitar was made.

Yours is F02 which means it is a 2002 model.

Actually, i think that the first 3 "digits" (F02) would not only indicate that it was a 2002 model, but also that it was manufactured in the Fujigen-Gakki plant in Japan (the "F")

F does mean Japan so maybe the neck is Japanese even if it says "Made in Korea" underneath.
That's esp true if the Made in Korea is a sticker.

I read somewhere that all tilted headstock necks are made in Japan and all non tilted in Korea.
That's why Joe's necks are made in Korea even if everything else is made in Japan.

Could be an urban legend...........
anyone.................anyone.............anyone.. .........Rich???

I've never seen a 555 neck that didn't begin with C.

The Roadstar neck used on Joe's Blackdog was Korean because those were the only straight head necks Ibanez was making at the time.
