The HAM finish was blasted with a template so they're al the same.
The control cavity and spring cavity are probably lined with reflective coating to minimise the effects of EM radiation. That's what's on the inside of my Jem at least.
What you are seeing in the cavity is most likely something they used overall to prep the guitar post sand blasting and pre final finish. I have a 90th and it is most certainly basswood. Whats in the finish/prefinish - I have no idea as it it pretty strange stuff in general.
