JS1 - nob issue - how do you make them stay attached?

Hey there guys -

So, I bought a used JS1. The guitar was shipped using a fed-ex type service and it arrived just fine. During transit, both of the volume and tone metal nobs came off the posts.

Typically, I have seen a small screw to tighten nobs on the pots. This guitar's nobs have no screw and I'm having a terrible time getting the nobs to stay put.

I dont want to press them to hard, and I dont want to damage the guitar.

Help and advice please....

Thanks -

If there is no screw just press them in. I assume the posts have a little grove, if so than you can press these together slightly. Make sure if you do you use a rag between the pliers and the posts to not damage the ridges.

But usually a little hard press should suffice

If the knobs wont stay put you want to put a screwdriver in the slot (if you have one) and just slightly open the slot .

will try and get back to you. I hope it works. Sucks playing a "new" guitar without nobs :-(

Thanks for your help.

I put a dab of superglue on the top of the posts of mine, which works for a while until it fails, then needs to be cleaned off and reapplied.
