Re: JS100 Coming back from the Chromer

I cleaned the frets and neck last night, so tonight I'll do the headstock and will try to get it all back together and get some pics posted.

Overall the guitar came out very good.

Finish is cleaner and more consistent than my original one (#040) when I had it; with one exception.....

I guess when Don was finishing it and "Sanding" between coats, he blew through the metalized coating and had to do a "repair" rather than a complete strip and refinish; for which I was compensated with a discount.

It is a spot about a little smaller than a nickel, right over the side strap button; off center with 80 - 85% more towards the back.

I'm thinking with the strap button/DiMarzio Clip-Lok setup, it won't be that noticable (You can feel an edge tho); but it will definately be a detractor that I would disclose to any interested parties if/when I ever sell it ... but that's neither here nor there.

Overall, I am extremely pleased and would go with Don again - Hands Down!!!

Also, the control cavities came out awesome as well, so for any JS10th owners out there that want to store your factory covers, I'd pickup a regular set and for $50, have them done and store your originals

- Peace -
