JS1000 case question...

Can anyone comment on the origins of this case? I was under the impression all Prestige cases had the red felt interior, this one is (obviously) black.

Re: JS1000 case question...

I have 2 Ibanez cases, and both have black felt.

Sorry, let me rephrase. What I meant to ask was, is this case original to this guitar (it's a late 2006 JS1000).

Re: JS1000 case question...

I can't say 100%, but I would say no. I think that is an older style case, so for a late 2006 guitar, it doesn't seem likely.

Yeap, the case with the straight lines is an older case. I believe the newer cases with the different outer design and the swoosh Ibby logo are either blue or red inside...

Re: JS1000 case question...

I'd concur with people here that that's not the orginal JS1000 case. I've got a 2006 JS1000 BTB and that came in a 'Team J. Craft' case which has the word 'Prestige' embossed on it and has the red lining.

No, I didn't. I don't particularly care about the case, as my guitars never really spend any time in them, I was just curious... I own a UV and have had a JEM, so I pretty much knew from the get-go the case wasn't correct. In any event it appears to be a molded Ibanez case, so it should do the job.

Sweet guitar even if it's the wrong case.

Just an observation, but if that's an Edge Pro, the trem angle is off.

Re: JS1000 case question...

If it helps, my 2003 came with that exact same case. I don't have any Ibanez cases newer than that

Re: JS1000 case question...

My 2005 is a Team J-Craft in the red case too. If it is a 2006 it should have come that way (does it have the headstock logo?). Nothing wrong with the M100 cases, but it's not original.

How well does the guitar fit in it?
The fit in this case is pretty poor.
