Smile JS1000 Customized and Friends!

Hi Guys
Iíve been wanting to do this for a while now!

I always liked the Black Pearl color but I thought it just didnít look right with Cosmo hardware.
In my mind all JS guitars should have chrome hardware.
I got a NEW old stock 2010 JS1000BP and had at it.
I did a little change out for some Chrome hardware and here are the results.

Check out the wood grain on the back of the headstock if you check out the full set of pics.

Nice!, it looks really good more like a JS1 now, the Black Pearl is a very underrated finish IMO, it looks stunning in person.

Stunner, I'd love to see how my BTB would look with chrome hardware also, chrome just seems to suit these guitars for some reason.

Looks a pretty large collection behind them also!

I agree, something about the JS having chrome hardware just looks "right."

To the OP:

This is a beautiful guitar man, I love looking at JS series guitars even though I don't own one. They are works of art.

I've been looking for a good condition BTB.

If I find one, maybe I'll Chrome it too!

I think chrome would look even better on a BTB than on a BP.

Re: JS1000 Customized and Friends!

I always liked the chrome hardware. In the case of the JS, all black with chrome looks classy IMHO...
This is what I have done to an old Radius. The chrome pickups are Dimarzio Mo Joe/Paf Joe set.

Wauw! Looks sick!
I really love those pickups BUT I must say guys, why do you spent so much money for an upgrade, just buy the js90 or prm.

Re: JS1000 Customized and Friends!

I didn't spend that much.
I got the-
NEW JS1000BP w/Case for $1000
NEW Chrome hardware for $200
Kept the NEW Comso hardware for a Custom Build JEM I'm working on
I have a NEW 43mm Locking Nut base that I got somewhere so I put the pads from the 42mm JS nuct on it

So really I only have $1000 into the guitar if you even swap the hardware.

I can't find Cssmo Hardware for $200 so that's a great deal for me!
