JS100CB - Completed

Well... here it is: https://cid-61effbfae59bf0a2.skydriv...x/JS100CB?uc=4

Waiting for the guitar body to come back was the longest part, which really was only like 2-3 weeks total.

But I started off with a pretty clean body, which saved time and $$$ because the gentlemen who did the finish for me had to fix only a small nick.

For pickups I went with FRED in the bridge and PAF Joe in the neck, but everything else is stock. Oh yeah.... I was able to score an original CB DiMarzio Clip-Lok strap (Thanks Rich!!!)

So for all you JS1/1200/2000 owners with chrome hardware, you too can have a Chromeboy guitar for pretty short money and a little time.

Re: JS100CB - Completed

That came out fantastic. Are you going to go all the way and get some chrome bobbin pickups for it?

Re: JS100CB - Completed

Nah... I had a CB before... so I was/am shooting more for that look rather than the JS2CH look.

Re: JS100CB - Completed

I had the same modification in mind, but I wasn thinking of a black chrome finish including the headstock though. Can you share some details who modded your guitar and how much it costed?

Thank you.

Re: JS100CB - Completed

Not to be the party pooper of the bunch but, although the pictures are nice, it seems to me that the chrome is rather dull and not shiny as it should be....

Steve, maybe you can get someone to take some hi-res pics with a steady hand to see more detail.....

Re: JS100CB - Completed

Not at all Jimmy

I think alot has to do with the lighting.

I was sort of thinking the same thing like... "What the heck did I just spend all this money to get a somewhat dull finish?", but.......

I just finished up the wiring in my living room, and it looks like night and day.

I'll try and get some better pics and post them.

Re: JS100CB - Completed

Oh Yeah!!!

I built this as a seller and for the experience.

I stumbled across a wiring diagram for putting DiMarzio's using the JS100 setup. Wiring was a snap

After wiring it, I fine tuned the trem springs and trem angle, jammed on it, adjusted the bridge height to address some notes fretting out while doing extreme stretches; and now it plays absolutely amazingly and sounds crazy!!!!

Even it doesn't sell for what I want, this guitar still smokes and I will not be even slightly mift about keeping it
