JS10tth : a bit disappointed

I spent 5 years to save for a JS10th and to find one in good condition in the European market. After a long time I have finally found one in a French dealer (mine is #402) for 3000$.

Although the model has never been played and the chrome in a very rare condition, I have to say that I am a bit disappointed by the finish : poor quality of the neck wood compared to my MusicMan LUKE II, cheap sticker of the headstock, no abalone inlays, old Edge trem...

If you forget the beautiful chrome finish, would you have buy this guitar for its quality ?

So go out and spend 20k on a JS2 and watch your chrome crack and peel away.

If you're that unhappy with it, i'd gladly take it off your hands. How does $100 sound?

Did you actually PLAY the guitar before buying it? Have you played ANY other JS10ths? If you blindly spent such a large sum of money on a guitar that you've never touched, I'd say you almost deserve to be disappointed. Poor judgement all around.

If you bought the guitar simply for it's looks, that's another poor move. You can't really expect a JS10th to be comparable to a MusicMan...they're completely different guitars. With a JS10th you're paying as much for a collectible item as you are a great guitar. I've had mine (#00 since they first came out, and love it. But...to each their own.

The bottom line is that if you're really unhappy with the guitar, they're fairly easy to re-sell.

They're a "reissue", spec'd to "emulate" the JS2, if you weren't expecting the MOP dots and Edge trem maybe you should have done a little research before spending your money!!

If you remain disapointed, I might be interested in purchasing your JS 10th.

Please let me know.

I'm geographically your neighbour...

I guess you have all that goes with it (silver stap, cable and case) ?

Do you have pictures showing the rare good condition of the chrome ?
