JS1200 help please

Hi, last week I bought an ibanez js1200. I have never had a guitar with a floyd rose before but am aware of the basics. I tuned my guitar up properly and it was fine but now there is a lot of fret buzz which was not there before I tuned up. The action is at an almost identical level but the trem is not sitting parallel (flush) to the body as it was before. Could this be the whats causing the buzz. Should I adjust the tension to make it flush again, should this get rid of the fret buzz?

If this is not going to help please tell me what to do.

Thanks, Joe

Re: JS1200 help please

Which way is the bridge sitting? Tail up or tail down?

What tuning do you have the guitar in and have you changed string guages?

Re: JS1200 help please

The bridge is sitting tail up I think (I can now see under the bridge more as it's higher up). I tuned it standard but when I got it it was almost in slack tuning it was so far out. I haven't changed the strings but don't know what gauge they are.

Thanks for reply

Re: JS1200 help please

The bridge should be flush with the body as has been said. To really diagnose the buzz problem, where are you getting buzz? With open strings? Only on some frets? All over?
Check out Rich's Tech page on ibanezrules.com and you'll find additional information on setups to help you out.

Re: JS1200 help please

The bridge shouldn't be flushed with the body. The Knife Edges should be parallel to the body regardless of what the overall position of the bridge is once the knife edges are parallel with the body.

Re: JS1200 help please

Licensed Floyd systems. You won't find n OFR on a stock Ibanez.
Ibanez strive to improve on the original design, and have very successfully.

Re: JS1200 help please

Make sure the gauge of strings is the same as your last set.If they are then the term angle may be off a bit.
Like somebody said earlier in the thread make your your trem sits level to the body , all most parallel.
