Honest Question: What makes them worth so much more than the 1200 for example?

I really love the hotrod purple, but I would be pissed if it wasn't a truly extraordinary guitar after spending that much.

I wouldnt say they are better... I have a 1200 and a few 1000s that i like just as much. Just nuce to have that 24 fret option. Personally i feel they are worth the price tho

I haven't touched one yet. I'm tempted to just buy a black pearl and have a Donnie made out of it instead. I've always wanted one.

But that purple keeps calling my name.

The BP is quite cheap and plentiful these days!.... I had a similar idea with the 2400, paint it black, a few oil based Sharpies and....JS25ART!

Re: JS2450 & JS2410.... Who has one?

I have both 2400 and 2410 and I really love them. I plan to sell the 2400 though, just because to buy the 2450. The 2410 is just perfect in everything. I waited 25 years for Ibanez to realease a 24 frets JS. No need to tell you how happy I was when i saw it coming out. It was a dream come true
The 22 frets kept me away from the JS during all those years.
I have one thought to share by the way: have you notice that 24 frets are something that goes more often with Japanese guitars, American guitars usually have 21 or 22 frets. Do you have an explanation for this?

Re: JS2450 & JS2410.... Who has one?

I have a 1000Bp, 1200CA and a 2400WH.
They are all the same quality.

The 2400, 2410 and the 2450 are all the same guitar.

The 2400 is a bit different from the 2450 and 2410... They are Alder, different pickups, and neck construction too I believe.

Yeah alder is different, one pickup is different and also they have the three piece maple/bubinga/maple neck vs the 1 piece maple neck with bubinga stripe that's on the 1200, 1000 and 2400.

Re: JS2450 & JS2410.... Who has one?

I had my JS2410 set up in E flat so that it was more different than my other guitars, not just the alder. I really don't care too much that it's 24 frets.

The only guitars I have that give me the satriani tone I love are my les pauls. LOL One is a real one, the other was built by a friend. But they are heavy, and the lack of a contour at the top of the body gives me bruises on my forearm from hours on end. They sound and play awesome, but they're a pain in the ass.

I am so accustomed to 24 fret necks from all of my jems and RGs that I sometimes find myself reaching for notes that aren't there. The JS body has always been so much more comfortable to me than anything else, but I've always fallen for jems and RGs. A 24 fret js is definitely right up my alley.

I'd really love to buy one of the better JS models and have it custom painted.
I like the purple, but I would kill to have a Donnie Hunt Skull Paintjob. I've always wanted one from the first days I saw them in the catalog.

One guitar I really miss was my beautiful candy apple red 540r. That guitar was awesome. I had to sell it because I needed money when I was a kid. I'll take that regret to the grave.
