Man, that's a nasty design flaw if I've ever heard one...

Sounds like the bridge angle needs to be setup properly. When I got my GR years ago i had this same problem. After weeks of adjusting the bridge, i finally found the appropriate height for the bar along and managed to get low action without any fret buzz at the same time.

Check Rich's site for a detailed explanation on bridge setup. May i suggest raising the studs a lil bit higher...

Congratulation about new guitar!!!
Don't worry about that i bought uv '03 and i have the same problem
if you wish to height it a little bit you must take off your tremolo and height the arm holder!
To do that you must rotate the arm holder lock nut and pull up the arm holder as height as you want!
I hope this will help you!

The new edge pro should sit flat instead of at an angle like your edge trem. Thats probably what your overlooking and the bar is tipped too far forward hitting the pickup switch. Its not a desgin flaw people its a bad setup

the trem arm hitting the selector switch is just from a bad set up. There is nothing wrong with your guitar, more than likely it just needs tweaking. Look under the tech set up section of Jemsite's main page to fix it yourself..............
