Just bought my first JEM

Thats right, just got a JEM7DBK through Ebay. I am a very happy person indeed, i consider it my birthday present to myself

I've never owned a JEM before and i cannot wait the week or two it will take to arrive. What was everyone else's first JEM?

p.s just thought i'd mention i went 150 over my budget to get the guitar. I'm at uni and i'm supposed to be saving money! My mum is really gonna kill me. I still haven't told her. Ah well, if the JEM turns out to be better than my SG then i guess i'll have to let the Gibson go *sob*

Man you are going to miss that SG! Ha ha........I have a DBK also......it screams.....you won't be sorry. It will be lighter than you imagined so don't be suprised, but the neck is killer and the finish is industrial.

Congrats! You'll be noticed with that killer axe

Don't worry 'bout your mom. My girlfriend hasn't killed me either, despite a lot of threats over the years concerning new guitars

Congrats on the new JEM.

Let the Gibson go, you've no need for it anymore On another note there's a fair bit of cash to be made at university by teaching guitar, which might be something to consider

Congrats!! I too purchased my DBK through evilbay, and got lucky on a brand spanking new one cheap. I brought it with me to Kuwait, thank God for it. Light, and if you ding it, a black marker will cover up the ding. Spiffy : D
