Just cuz...

I want one so freaking bad.... Ill get the right pyramid neck soon enough, found an old school one for a good price, imma grab that. Anyway, heres the color, I think its pretty accurate, no? Im aware the pups are supposed to be pink, but no thank you. I think the green/black zebra looks way better.

Re: Just cuz...

what parts is that based on???....... I'm not a big fan of the green/black zebra's, but only because the black disappears into the pickguard.......If you really wanted to get wild you could go green/yellow zebra with either color for the middle........

Very cool looking guitar though!!!!!! You did a great job on it. Regardless of how well the color matches the LNG's (looks dead on in my monitor).

Re: Just cuz...

....haven't we discussed the toe-shots enough??? Once I see that purple toe-ring, I'll shut up. Anyway--looks good! Color is pretty close. I've got to agree with Ryc on the pups--go green/yellow for that lemonade look.

NO thank you . I like the black and green haha. Dead? Looks almost turqouise on my monitor, but its not even close to the color. I really need to suck it up and buy a camera.... -.-

Anyway, thats the dbk body that I had black and copper. It was cool, but I didnt get goose bumps from it or anything.

Re: Just cuz...

That's cool....... I respect peoples preferences....even if they're wrong!!!..........LMAO!!!!!!!!

I didn't know you picked up a DBK, but I do remember the black&copper guitar so I guess you've had it for quite a while...... I agree that this is WAY cooler!!!! I actually like the vine on it better than pyramids too........ but I'm sure everyone will disagree with me on that one.

Yeah I've owned that DBK for... 7-8 years now? Its been used, abused, and been every color under the rainbow. I had it as a GMC a long time ago, not sure if you happen to remember that.

I think I have an old picture of it as well... Ill see what I can round up.

Re: Just cuz...

Is it just the picture, or does the lions claw look poorly painted with green splotches all over?

I fail to see what you're talking about O.o The green is uneven though, its REALLY hard to get it to coat evenly. Im going to get an aftermarket body and go from there I think. Lot of work sanding and resanding blah blah blah.
