Late 80's JEM777 DSY Advice

Hey all,

I'm seeking your advice on this guitar but am unsure whether to buy because it has two serial numbers, one on the back of the head and one on the neck bolt plate.

In addition, the neck heel stamp says JEM7, while the neck pocket stamp is JEM777. Photos included.

What does everyone think? Are the neck and body not original to each other, or is this perfectly normal?

Any thoughts or advice from you guys will be massively welcome.

Thanks

Everything seems original to me; maybe two seven numbers of the 777 stamp on the neck heel have faded due to the shim.
